I get that he wouldn’t want to derail a title charge by saying he’s off at the end of the season, but I can only think that after tonight, it’s either he’s so fucked off with the press that he’s not confirmed it, or he’s genuinely not told the club yet.Do you honestly think that they didn't know ?
I wouldn’t put it past the media to guess Pep is leaving and then break this news to upset the team before these final crucial two games.TKhaldoon and Sheikh Mansour will want answers on how a couple of media reporters broke the news yesterday that Pep is leaving. City owners have been very closed-door about this sort of thing; neither would like how this leaked if true about Pep leaving and somebody else got to know before them
I will say this is not Pep or City's style. The club and Pep will 100% know what is happening in the summer, it would have been about 6 months ago that talks happened. That's how football works, you don't just leave the club like this without plans for next season's team of players, coaches and manager already in place,
If Pep has changed his mind in the past couple of days and is leaving, then it's pretty poor of him to leave it so late
It sounds like something has changed if Pep is speaking Khaldoon and Sheikh Mansour in the next couple of days
The one thing that I hope doesn't happen is when Pep leaves, the in-house fighting happens ? The New manager has to be given the same control of all the football side of things, just like Pep had
The director of football and the board can not get in between the players and the new manager. The new manager has to pick and choose his players and coaches
No way the leaders at the club don't know, so fucked off with the media, which is my position.I get that he wouldn’t want to derail a title charge by saying he’s off at the end of the season, but I can only think that after tonight, it’s either he’s so fucked off with the press that he’s not confirmed it, or he’s genuinely not told the club yet.
We shall see!No way the leaders at the club don't know, so fucked off with the media, which is my position.
......I know, how do these dicks get though to post bollocks like thatJesus wept…
That's my reading of it,perhaps he did make the decision to go a while back but is having 2nd thoughts now.The media came out with the story, not the club, so not sure how it's bad PR for us.
I really think he's conflicted about what to do and maybe he's still thinking.
For what he's given the club, he has earn't the right to take his time and make the best decision for himself.
Of course he's accountable, why would he wait, he fucking hates City, it was maximum disruption.Question is should Oliver Holt be held partially accountable for the result tonight? What if he had waited 24 hours before revealing the story would it have made any difference?
I think he’s just having mixed emotions and is unsure what to do.Only he would know, but there is clearly something stopping him from being forthright.
Edited as this is what he really isOliver Holt is a fucking munich ****
We won 9 and drew 2 out of our last 11 games. The problem was that we have been trailing Arsenal almost all of the season because of a poor start. We only started to look like a title winning side after adding Semenyo and Guehi in January. Tiredness became a factor at the end but we were by then behind Arsenal. The only thing affecting the squad was the crazy schedule imposed on us at the end of the season. Palace Weds, then 100 mins on the energy sapping Wembley turf and within 72 hours travelling to a well rested Bournemouth.
We simply ran out of steam.
It is if you are Man Utd. This season, he rebuilt the side and won 2 trophies. It's time for him to step down and have him go on a good note. Maybe he can remain at the club in a directorship role or something for the next manager.
