In relation to the Champions League I am happy with this signing and the fee stated, but if Pepe hinders Nastasic's growth I will be fuming.

Nastasic in a few years will be one of the best in the world and I stand by this claim.

Nasty is a kid,Pepe has 4 maybe 5 yrs at most.

If anything,having the opportunity to learn his trade from him and Kompany should make him feel very fortunate.

Besides we have enough games for all to get plenty of time.

Pepe more recently has played as a holding midfielder for RM. This could be especially useful in CL allowing Fernandinho and Yaya to rampage forward.

What he did a few years ago was totally unacceptable but he seems to have improved and away from Mourinho's rather aggressive tactics he might be able to calm down with Pellegrini.

Would be very happy if this reported 18m euros deal is accurate.

Very, very experienced at the very highest level, with bags of CL playing time behind him.

Brings steel and grit with him and can certainly 'mix it' if needed. Can actually 'play' and is adept at starting attacks.

Excellent player (with Vinny) for Nasty (and any other young defender we have) to learn the ropes from.
