Badstuber is a brilliant centre half, Dante good. I personally don't think Van Buyten or that twat Boateng are up to much though

Dante is a brilliant centre-back. Badstuber is decent when he's fit, but hasn't played properly in ages, and won't play anytime soon.

Wasnt there a rumour yesterday Pep was looking at converting Javi Martinez to a CB with Thiago in midfield?

I suppose if you wanted to stretch it you could include Martinez among them. If they get Thiago he may play there a bit more often with so many competing for spots there.

I would much rather we signed Marquinhos or someone of his ilk if we are going for a Centre Half - an up and coming player like Nastasic who's good to start now, but has more potential for the future, rather than a 30 year old - but I suppose Pepe brings Champions League experience, which we need more of in our defence.

Wouldn't be my choice though

Don't need him our cover for Kompany is all sorted, 21, international, cost us nothing, got a bit of learning to do but with Greenies instruction will do OK, on tour in SA the one
and only but forgotten D Boyata, not listed as a squad player, been out on loan, and home grown so fits in with all criteria we need.
