Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

simon stone reports the news by saying...

"As a manager, Guardiola will forever be entwined with that great Barcelona side including Lionel Messi that won two Champions Leagues in three seasons and has gone down as one of the greatest of all time.

His achievements at City will not eclipse those."
Stone is a filthy cock sucker

Just isn't needed is it. That Barca side I still feel are the best club team I have ever watched. His time at City is riddled with success and good football too though. When he retires City will be the first club they speak of.

It blows my mind that some insignificant creature like Simon Stone has the outright privilege to speak directly to one of the greatest managers of all time, and he uses that opportunity to ask snide questions or aim cheap, derisory digs. Pep treats him with the contempt he deserves and rightly so but no one benefits from these interactions. Worse still is that Stone works for the BBC. How he landed and remains in that job is a mystery.
It’s not too much of a mystery when you consider he’s a rag

It isn't negative, it is putting a scenario out there. It was widely reported it was only a year, if he was planning to leave at the end of next season then it puts to bed all this nonsense we have had being in the last year of his contract. Judging by his comments he was very close to calling it quits this year. He may feel it is easier next year without all of the noise surrounding his future with him signing for 2 years. We all hope that isn't the case, as blues we are wired to fear the worst no? A rebuild this summer, a successful season next year where he can fly off into the sunset after a nice round 10 years and us on top.

P.S I hope he stays forever
You havent disappointed me with your lukewarm reaction, lol

Interesting line in Pep's presser.

'I want to stay two more years, but if I am not good enough I will not be here. Same as the players'.

TENSIONS, aye.

Imagine the matchday thread on Saturday after this news if we’re not winning ;-)

On the news, it honestly wasn’t the outcome I was expecting, thought he’d go next summer, but I’m absolutely buzzin about this. And the signings to come (hopefully) as he refreshes his squad.

Chrimbo come early.
Agree.Even a four lane scalextric or Carol kirkwood wrapped up wouldn’t even come close.

If it takes 4 unexpected consecutive defeats to make Pep change his mind and stay then that's just great and well worth those losses. Now 10 years at the helm with us gives him the chance to replace an ageing midfield, attract younger players with potential that he can develop and add to our Champs league trophy success.
