Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

18 points bud you can't get this wrong or else your giving the dippers a shared record.

For me Pep has to stop bigging up the opponents before a game, and play your best team, losing to Norwich, Wolves and Rags and drawing with the likes of Spurs, Newcastle and Palace is a joke.
Apologies 18, but still far too many.

Biggest concern with Pep is belittling us in the Champions League. "no experience in europe, no history" and the like. Simply find it insulting and if I was Khaldoon I would tell him to shut the f*ck up and do the job he is handsomely paid to do.

Our owner has invested enormous amounts on players, facilities and the best manager, he has all the tools, stop knocking us and go and show your the best.

Why would we not want Pep to stay? Our most successful manager ever.
If the players get the slightest sign he is off, morale will be very low, next season is going to be extremely tough as it is.

No preseason, little break, compacted season , many new players and the euros next summer.

Difficult with full preparation and a hungry dressing room, never mind a manager leaving at the end of the season and half the dressing room still pissed with the Lyon debacle.

Sorry he has given us dream football and a bucket full of titles, but if a renewal is not signed before the seasons starts, to me he has to go.

I f we are not challenging for the title at Christmas the drop off in commitment will be enormous , especialy with the Euro's later in the year.

So no manager can ever see out their contract? final year really is a dissmisal year?

To me yes, only if they leave suddenly with a renewal expected to be signed.

When ferguson announced his retirement the first time mid season it was a total disaster and he had te reverse the decision.

I do worry about some players in that dressing room, Bernardo for one and maybe even Laporte in terms of the relationship with Pep.

Most managers are sacked, they don't tend to see out contracts and then just move on with everyone shaking hands & wishing each other the best

Pep has done it twice without any drop off from his teams.
