Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I expect Pep's extension to be public before PL starts in less than 4 weeks. Otherwise if we start really shit and we are behind maybe 10-12 points in league at Christmas what will make the players fight for Pep when he is about to leave anyway regardless where e finishes?

Also they would know any drop in performance is not having the same importance as new manager coming in might have complete different view on players than Pep.

While with Pep we see how he handles players he lose trust with like Ota or Stones recently.
If Ferna, Garcia, Laporte were all injured he would start Rodri and Harwood Bellis kid in CB.

I think we'd have been easily beaten.

Just like we were playing our usual set up vs. Wolves (twice), United (twice) and Arsenal when we tried to play 433 against teams playing with Lyon's set up and tactics.

I made that comparison with Wolves the day after the match. Its clear we have a weakness against sides adopting a low block and adopting a fast counter. Playing sides like Madrid, even if they are better than Lyon, are much easier to face than those that play on the break. We will never know if playing the usual side would have been win the match but to me it explains the team selection even if I think on balance it never worked.

Remember Heynckes was announced to go and went to win the treble.
Maybe players get more heated if they know it's his last year

Either the players are fully behind him and want to give him a big send off or it would be one huge shit show. If thats the case hopefully its the former

Pep out. Poch in.
I am worried we might lose out on Poch.

If Pep really has decided he is going in 12 months regardless.

And Pochetinho is available now.He likely wont be then,....

I thought he did a decent job at Spurs. The Wheels only really come off when Levy undermined him,and would not spend.

Look at Spurs now,out of the Champions league being managed by an old Dinosaur with a Blue rinse.

Not arsed if we lose out on Poch. He fluffed up Spurs' golden opportunity in winning the league in 2016 and gifted it to Leicester and finished 3rd. PSG wouldn't be a bad club for him though.
