Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Just doesn’t wash mate, I love Pep and I feel I’ve been pretty respectful in what I’ve said. If he wants to commit to us I’d be happy but he needs the right players and at the moment he clearly has a weak spot for some of the squad who shouldn’t even be playing for us.

doesn’t wash? We have no left backs. Who was he meant to play instead?

He still hesitating to stay or not, and these kind of losses like today hardly making him want to stay. Play shit like today and even teams outside top6 will fucking punish you in PL.
Chelsea were 3-0 down to promoted WBA yesterday. Palace ripped apart United last week. Leicester made a laughing stock out of us today.

This is a hard league, if your not on your game and making mistakes chances are mediocre/decent clubs will punish you. Same as in CL later stages.

After last season this City team need to react to being left behind Liverpool by 20+ points. A huge reaction is needed mentally, tactically.

Midfield is crucial and we need pace, energy, workrate there about 300% more than what we have with a veteran Dinho, with a slow Rodri and a very slow Gundogan who cant defend, tackle, stop attacks.

If Pep cannot instill hunger in the squad, they wont be hungry for success and we finish 3rd or 4th. That would be such a wasted season.

He needs to come out and renew to be able to set the standard very high for players. The more he hesitates the more the team will hesitate on the pitch.

He's a stubborn feck, plays players who can't play his system constantly, never plays them in a system that suits their strengths.

Underestimate explosive teams constantly.

Plays the same system no matter what....

But still love him.

His time is coming to an end hopefully this will be his last season. Blame the players as much as you want but the style of play does not change, it’s turgid, slow, lazy and predictable and any half decent team that is organised and has a game plan we will drop points against, never been so bored watching city in 40 years

Brendan masterclass? What get yourselves into the box and go down the first chance you get? 3 penalties! That's not a managerial mistake.

It's not his finest hour but it's not Pep's fault half the team are unavailable and we have no senior strikers available. Add the fact that the team is further behind than most of our opponents because we only played out first game on Monday night. Is it any wonder we looked disjointed?

Sterling is not a striker, it was a step up too soon for Delap(hard game to come into). We saw both and neither worked, so what options did Pep have? That, to me, was the reason Leicester weren't worried about what was coming back their way and it flavoured the whole game.

I don't think it's a co-incidence that we conceded 4 goals after Fernandinho came off, so maybe you can point your finger at Pep for that but 2 of those were penalties.

Ok so Pep has been the manager for going on 5 seasons now, why has he only signed 1 left back in his tenure, who every one knows is fucking dog shit?

Do not tell me ‘that is Txiki’s job’. The manager knows what the team needs and is more than capable of talking to Txiki about this.

Angelino going out on loan again even though we literally have NO BACK UP LEFT BACK. Looks great everywhere he goes on loan but doesn’t get a game here apart from away at Anfield. We’re going to get mullered down Mendy’s flank for the next 12 months unless we play a CB there (Ake) with a midfielder as Ake’s back up (Zin).

We’ve had an amazing couple of seasons under Pep and the management team, but the left back situation makes any sane person want to claw their eyes out.

I can't help but feel recently that Pep has been found out.

The tactical choices at Lyon and the inability the get the defence sorted is getting quite alarming. Micah Richards is bang on, we are keeping possession but doing nothing with it.

The guys a genius, can't possibly deny that. But I feel my confidence in him ebbing away.

Mendy was class when he signed. Now he's slow. Not his fault he got injured but I think that's it for him.

Terrible defending by City in this game. Garcia, Mendy, Walker all made mistakes and we were punished ruthlessly. Not too happy about they way Leicester players went down for their pens. Highly professional.

Pep didn't have much choice with his selection today but playing Rodri and Fernandinho in front of a quickly breaking 451 was asking for trouble. No creativity and not able to track runners. Should have had Foden central to link up with Stering who we just couldn't get in the game.
