Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

That ‘transition season’ has been going on for coming up to two years now.

Do you ever let any form of objectivity enter your defence of all things City?

We can rightly be critical of the current situation given how long it’s been going on for.
We are playing shit , pep waits for us to be too far behind before he makes subs , drives me mad but i like to be less kneejerk and more trying to understand why

Transition season, we are allowed one , it is not pretty but it will come good , we had two new players out there

This will be Pep's third "transition" season in five years... If the transition is from a good team to a shit one then mission accomplished.

Not the greatest start to the new contract extension , full of optimism before the Spurs game but its now been swiftly removed , and the reality could be that this is a season of rebuilding and consolidation , but i can put up with a season out of the sun ,, i managed over 35 years so this is a walk in the park , we have had a good ten years and i do not see a better coach than Pep around at the moment.

We have lost vinny and dave , dinho and sergio hardly play , we have a team that needs to find its own way
And? We have invested hundreds of millions in replacements over the past 3/4 years and in reality none of those players look close to filling that void. Nothing transitional about it.

This was the first time I’ve been really angry... FFS can fk off. What he sees I him is beyond me. Foden starts every time above him and that was glaringly obvious tonight. Also play 2 up top or an extra bod to get amongst their 6 at the back..clueless tonight and he’s stealing the 20m a year on that shit show of team selection and tactics
Apart from free kicks and corners, we never seem to have more than one player in the box You would think that might change at 2-0 down but sadly not.
