Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

We often talk about what City do post Pep. I wonder what Pep will do. Specifically would he one day take on any other roles with the City group. Not necessarily managerial.

for instance if he wants time away from management would he want to spend time at all the city group clubs formulating new ideas.

NYCFC is the strongest rumour mate which would keep him in the CFG but i do think he would make a brilliant D.O.F for us going forward.

National Team, CFG Ambassador/stint in Italy. Retires.

He wouldn't strike me as the sort of guy who'd take what would essentially be a "desk job". I'm guessing that he loves the day to day involvement with players on the training pitch, as well as match days, obviously.

I love a bit of bitterness on a Thursday afternoon off work.

You can only imagine the fawning, the love and the obsession they’d have for Pep if he had become their manager. Absolute dickheads these lot.

Just glad that Pep is staying for at least another season and i reckon he'll take the further option up and stay until 2027 because like us lot he just loves City..... and we'll win even more trophies. Life is soooooo good.

I'm sure he wants the England job

can see him taking a sabbatical for a while after leaving us. He has been put a lot into making us the best team on the planet

Duno why but I thought Pep was holding the usual press conference today. Wonder if the club will finally announce his contract extension before tomorrow's press conference. I would imagine all the questions will be about it.

And if they don't announce it all the questions will definitely be about it

1 plus 1 is a great move from the club. It keeps the ball in Pep’s court and he gets to see how he feels. It shows that there is willingness to go onto to 2027 if he’s not burnt out.

I reckon he’ll be leaving summer 2027.

Really hope he extends further. He doesn't have anything to prove with us, so I'd like to think he's staying simply because a) he loves us Mancs and the club and b) there's nowhere else that can match CFG for giving him what he needs to realise his footballing vision. Really looking forward to Saturday with this, whatever the scoreline!

Come on now mate.

We’ve obviously given him a skip load of brown envelopes.

He is setting us up nicely for a handover if need be. Somebody like Nagelsmann can come in after the WC in 2026 with a fresh team that Pep helped build.
