Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

With Pep saying after a few years it becomes hard to motivate players, i feel here could be very different. He really can do what he likes and i expect that includes wholesale changes in 3 or so years. Txiki would carpet bomb Alderly Edge to get them all to fuck off if Pep gave the nod.

Seriously though i think Pep will have everything just so he can seamlessly replace a few as we go. Absolutely nobody has a say above Pep i feel in real terms. Seeing this season Khaldoon and Txiki will be creaming themselves; being totally vindicated in giving Pep the ultimate football machine to do as he pleases with.

I often think to when i was a kid and would fall asleep thinking of City having this, a huge complex that was top end and at that time basically better than utd. If you mapped out now the best possible way to be as a club i think we would be pretty close to perfect from head to toe.

Pep: "I bought an apartment because I have to live somewhere, and I’m happy to live in the city. It happened the same when I was a player at Roma, at Brescia, and when I was in Munich. I prefer to live in the city and be with the people."

Pep: "And my commitment [to City] was the same last season, when we didn’t win. It looks like a higher commitment because we are winning, but the commitment last season was the same."

Wonderful news and this is why we shouldn’t worry about not getting VVD for 75m etc. The most important thing is to get Pep to extend and then do the same with KDB, Jesus etc. Our squad is close to perfection with some excemptions, hence, players in can’t be the biggest priority as things stand.

Pep Guardiola will keep Manchester City waiting over a new contract - insisting he will only sign an extension if he believes he deserves it. [MEN]

Pep: “My commitment is the first year and the next one there is no doubt about that. I will be here one more year and after, we will see. It depends on if we win and if I deserve to extend my contract.”

Pep: "I'll be here one more year, and after we will see. After that it depends if we win and I deserve to extend my contract. I am so happy here. I am so, so happy. But to extend the contracts at the big clubs you have to win, and if you don't win you don't deserve to continue."

Meanwhile, peg still lives in a hotel.

10 years, name your price Mr G.
You can just see the heartache on the rags faces if he stays for more than 5 years. The damage we would do to them will be immense.

sounding good.....

Pep Guardiola is ready to commit his future to Manchester City by signing a new long-term contract - but only once he has lifted his first trophy.

The former Barcelona manager has agreed terms on a deal worth almost £20million a year, which would see his annual salary rise by around £3m.

Guardiola's current contract is due to expire at the end of next season, but he will put pen to paper on an extension to keep him at the Etihad until the summer of 2021.
