Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Just watching iplayer doc. We're an ungrateful bunch, very possibly most influential manager on English football history when you consider how kids try to play football these days.
You had to watch the bbc to realise that lol

The match thread alone is proof of this, on here.

When I look back at our shit times, it was great fun under Horton.
It was, but we had good times with Mel Machin, the highlight was beating united in 89 with a 5 academy players in the team. That team could have been going places but meddling Swales couldn't wait to find out and sacked Machin because we were in the relegation places.

We just needed to add some real top quality players to those lads and we'd have rock & rolled.

That academy team was all around Div 1 like the Mcatee / Palmer team. A lot we let go had better careers either due to luck with injuries or late bloomers.
