At the risk of sounding corny and/or clichéd, he really does seem to "get" us, as a club and a fanbase. He's the latest in a long line of non mancs who have been with us, that the club has got its claws into. People with no connection to the area, but who have bonded with us. From the likes of Skip and Buzzer, to the likes of the Goat, Dickov, Horlock, Komps, Merlin, Kun etc etc.
