Very true but don't underestimate the pull of playing CL, that could be a deal breaker for the elite players like Wirtz, Musiala etc

He needs a bit of luck and something to get him pumped up again, The Liverpool game is the sort of game that can work both ways, Their fans will bring hell to our players and manager and that can give you a hard time, But also it can bring you all together and let's have this lot and show them.

I think that's interesting too. Lilo seems to be more of a philosopher or mentor. Slight shades of Allison, the unchecked genius without Mercer to tell him straight when it's not a good idea.

I think Pep really understands City as a club. Even when we are winning there is angst with many of our fans. He is the same. He also thrives on adversity. He’s become bloody-minded like a true Mancunian. It’s hard to explain but you can see it in every interview he does. The self-depreciation and sarcasm shines through.
