Pep's contract situation

The team is ageing - he was never going to leave while there were trophies to be absorbed by the best squad any English club has ever assembled, hence him extending. He didn’t want anybody else to match or eclipse what he’s done with it.

Now United will be getting multibillionaire investment, the rest of the league can also buy very good players and maybe even the culmination and sanctions of the PL FFP investigation mean it’s a good time to walk away for him.

Chelsea were ran by a billionaire 5 years before we were.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been able to spend high on players the entire time Pep has been here.

United are going to continue spending money the way they have since Ferguson left. Who is the highest profile player available, regardless of position.

Hardly evidence to suggest he would walk away. This isn't exactly the pressure cooker environment of Barcelona. And for anyone here who thinks we face any kind of media bias, try being a team that isn't Real Madrid in Spain.

You were doing quite well til you got to the bit about United getting investment, then you got all carried away with yourself and it all fell apart a bit.

A game of two halves - 4/10

Context is everything.

The spaghetti analogy and desire for something different was a comment on the treadmill of having to play every 3 days.

Pep’s enjoying the current one game a week schedule, it gives him a little time off to play golf and still allows time on the training ground to instill his patterns of play.

Fully expect a contract renewal to be announced in Jan sometime.
