If we were going for him and pep was leaving then it would be a done deal by now

Ex rags don't get accepted here.Maybe he’ll go there for 2 years to gain experience of the league then move onto a bigger job and a team who will be challenging for trophies ;-)
Hope its Nagelsmann over Alonso personally.Agree...I do like that Alonso has at least spent time at major clubs as a player. I think it at least decreases the chances that he will be totally naive about the levels of the Premier League.
Mark hughes, sammy Mcllroy,Terry Cooke and in a sort of way Carlos Tevez ( he was only on loan to them ) ;-)Ex rags don't get accepted here.
We possibly are enough of a draw to pull him away from the German National team.Hope its Nagelsmann over Alonso personally.
Bellamy lined upWow. Not sure where that leaves us now as I assume alonso will be Madrid bound in the summer given his ties. Going to be very very interesting. Typical of United to appoint someone we apparently liked!
Not a clue who it will be or when it will be, but would put money on it being none of the 4 you named.I don't hate Amorin but I didn't think he was right for the City job.
I want Pep to stay!
And most importantly I know although we hate the dippers.. they had a successful transition of managers from Shankly - Paisley - Fagan - Daglish and that's the biggest proof that you don't want to do what the rags did and bring in a new manager where the players start to feel they know more than the manager!
You have to promote from within.. someone who is respected and knows the system that has worked for a long time.
So I've still got my suspicions that Gundogan will be Pep's replacement when he's ready. Fernanindho, Rodri and Vinny are the other 3 I think could be in the conversation.
You actually don't have to promote someone within.I don't hate Amorin but I didn't think he was right for the City job.

And the speculation might unsettle the Sporting team before we play them next week. His CV is very thin for a major job likes ours. I was really hoping he wouldn't be Pep's successor. The Portuguese league to our league is a huge step up.
