Pep's contract situation

Real managers don’t generally have long stays whereas he looks at City and sees Pep into 9 seasons The decision will not come down to where he played it will be what he thinks is best for his career and only he can make that

And he will still considering Madrid offer first above all else.

Look at the set up and how sack happy one of those clubs are and at our club you get better backing infrastructure!

Reckon we will go for Nagelsmann though

Alonso still have more personal connection with Madrid than ours because past playing experience.

Don't act convince him to join our club will be the most easiest thing in the world.
No it's not especially it's his former club we are talking about.

Alonso is a former Madrid player, Spanish and let’s face it Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world. I’d be shocked if he choose city over Madrid personally

And that is probably for the best, at this point.

He could go to Real, win a couple trophies, be the best thing since sliced bread, end up being a political pawn scapegoat, get sacked, and be done with them, all before Pep finishes up here.

And that's with as little as a two year extension, or two successive one year extensions.

I see the logic in your points but i think elite guys in any field of work prioritise themselves and their own chances of success over any emotional attachments. If he feels the set up at City is more conducive to success than it is at Madrid he'll want to join us.

But I think the elephant in the room where all potential candidates are concerned is whether they have enough self belief to have faith that they will succeed in a job where from day one every move they make will be compared (unfavourably largely) to the greatest manager of the last 30 years.

So it's based on your opinion and not a known fact.

Understandable logic but not undeniable proof of his future intentions.

I guess we will have to wait and see .
