If true that sounds a perfect request to the club to move heaven and earth to comply with. Pretty sure there should be a virtual 100% agreement within the management in order for City to remain the premier team in the PL.

It just makes me doubt the validity of the article if they really think Pep needs to convince our owners to keep Rodri and Haaland.

The thing is, the club hierarchy cannot guarantee those things. It can only promise to 'do its best'. Modern players can't be held against their will. Other clubs can always say 'no' to transfer requests, or demand a stupid fee.
