Pep's contract situation

I agree with the op about yesterday’s team - I don’t see how anyone can’t. 100% of supporters would not have picked that team yesterday. However, I don’t think it warrants a thread - just comment in the post match thread.
As for the Tinkerman tag - that’s harsh. We have to change/rotate the squad. It’s a necessity in modern-day professional football. We should do it more in the League Cup and keep the squad fresher for the sharp end of every season. You can’t argue with this season’s exceptional achievements and Pep deserves the highest praise for it - not to be labelled “tinkerman” which he quite clearly isn’t.

if anyone dont think Pep learned anything in the final approach doesnt understand Pep. He will learn and adjust,
Next season we will come back stronger... he learned from every mistake he made so far. Adjusted and corrected the set ups.
Dont get me wrong i feel very deflated from yesterday, very sad and disappoited... but i also have faith in that we will comeback and be stronger... thats what football is all about... if mistakes are done you adjust and dont repeat them...
I understand where Pep came from yesterday... he expected a tight defence and counterattack... what he didnt expect was all the niggly fouls and how bad the ref was in giving cards for it. I can understand the way chelsea went about the game and this time the won... they will win 2 of 10 matches with that approach especially when the ref dont give cards for the fouls... But Pep will learn!!!

Exactly right, we are talking about our manager who recognised the issues we were facing earlier in the season and resorted to the false 9 that ultimately won us the league title back - he's not all that bad is he this Pep fella : )

It hurt last night, but like Pep said we will have to suffer in order to win. Last night was one where we suffered, but we will move on, learn and improve to come back stronger. We are now one of the power european teams, and we have a high chance of making it to other finals where we will hopefully lift the trophy

Been a bloody fantastic season though, looking forward now to a great summer with some new arrivals that will help us kick onwards and upwards
