Just like the Lyon defeat effected the squad at the start of this season gone, Pep will have a job on his hands regaining the trust of the team and getting them going again.

City fans keep saying as long as he learns from this. 5 seasons in the Champs league and he keeps having these crazy moments with his team selection. I was in denial this season because we had done so well in the previous rounds only for him to spring his latest surprise. I’m not advocating getting rid of Pep, that would be absolute madness, but fuck me some one have a word. It took me months to get over the Lyon defeat this one is the same let’s hope the players don’t take this into the start of next season like they did this season.The love for Raz at the moment is very puzzling.

i feel the same, lets be honest his team selection has really cost us in the big games. Great 95% of the time then rubbish. He would be better reading this forum when he starts thinking of tinkering.

I know some people will say I'm missing the point, but...

This season, Pep has won the League (again) by a healthy points margin, won the League Cup (4th year running), thereby adding another domestic double, reached the FA Cup semi, and the Champions League final, winning more European games than any previous English team. He also set a few English records along the way, and went on record-breaking winning (and away wins) runs.

And yet people are describing him with words like "embarrassing" ?
An over-reaction, surely ?

a lot of fans are still (understandably) upset. So I think it’s just venting. He’s clearly one of the very best managers in the game....nothing changes that.

Personally no way...100 point season is historical season on its own, Not to mention we have 8 major trophies in last 5 years which is insane.

Were probably not winning the champions league with pep ive come to accept that we'll all just have to settle for every other trophy. When you think about it how many teams like ours win the champions league the bulk of champions league winner or teams who are good in this competition are counter attacking teams. outside of barca most teams who do well in the competition are very strong and the back and lightning quick on the break. Honestly i think its a big achievement to make it to the final without a striker. I'd be happy with just making the semi-finals consistently and winning the league.

I think pep has also learnt that 6 attacking midfielders isn't perfect so 7 would seem the obvious ploy next time. Just need a player out of form to bolster the attack

3 7 formation it is with the 2 fullbacks getting forward as well. The opposition will never get out. Dias can smoke a cigar on his own for 90 mins. Pep can teach him half of wonderwall.
