This. We’ve used the competition to good advantage. It’s helped to establish us as serial winners and claim it, together with the Community Shield FFS, as a trophy in the bag.

We have rotated for it and always have the option to take more of a break by playing kids. Why not? Being knocked out wouldn’t be a disaster.

Even if we did lose interest, why should the opportunity be denied to others? Clubs like Brighton or Sheffield United (both picked at random) would be delighted to win it.
