Yeah, course it's suicide. The bloke who captained Argentina u21's while playing midfield.
He wouldn't have to bomb up and down the wing but he's defensively aware and a good passer.

He's that good of a player yet no one even considered him until we got linked in the French press in January.

Oh and I seem to remember a game around this time last year where he got motm against Lyon if I'm not mistaken with a goal and assist.
We've been linked to Boufal? I didn't know this. That's exciting news. I was just suggesting players I thought might be amenable to playing on the wing for Pep. :)

As per my question, you are saying I should watch Lille v Lyon? Well I will tonight. We can continue then.

You do that Dax, you might want to watch both semi finals against West Ham too as Rony was great in both.
For me they are slightly different players Rony is more like a Silva, boufal is more like sterling but from what I can see both Patrick Roberts and Brandon Barker are technically superior to Boufal.

According to the stats, Ben Arfa is better than Boufal.
I don't get the point of this claim. Is it that in fact Arfa is a useless player? Or that Arfa isn't good enough for us? Or that Boufal is better than Arfa yet the Stats say otherwise? Or that stats don't tell you everything?

Anyway I will assume it's all of the above.

1. You can dig up the old Arfa thread, to see how many wanted him here.

2. Arfa is Mahrez before Mahrez. Often unplayable even in the Prem. So I'm not surprised he is doing well.

3. I don't think Boufal is better than Arfa. But the 22 year old pulling Mahrez and Arfa like stunts does intrigue me. Especially giving such raw talent to Pep makes me giddy.
But assuming some even think Boufal was better, yet the Stats suggests otherwise. The fact they are Statistically close would support 2 people reaching opposite conclusion on who's better.

And finally, I'd this was to somehow try to absolve Rony, then its a silly claim. Boufal and Rony were not Statistically close. Rony was inferior in almost every category. So the likelihood that disparate conclusions would be reached are highly unlikely.

Hence why I agreed with g180, that while facts and stats dont show everything, they are highly indicative when the disparity is across the board. Especially when it comes to players playing in similar positions for the same team.

This is the premier league. You can get away with it in shite leagues but this league is way different to others
