But somehow I think it is Pellegrini's instruction that we keep the crosses low. Pretty sure any sunday league players could do a floating cross to the box. These players are being paid millions, I think they can do that. What's funny is that a lot of our goals from crosses, I remember them as a high/floating crosses, but we only do it a few times a game. Bony, as horrible as he is, is a major aerial threat. We could've utilised him better.
It's strange that crosses into the box are asked to be kept low yet Hart is happy to punt it up to Aguero in hope he'll out jump his 6"+ CB..

That's definitely true. Against Norwich it was partly due to Bony's reluctance to be in the box but also our inability to put in a decent cross.

We do the high floating crap with our pointless outswinging corners

And also Kolarov's "I'm going to fucking kick this ball as hard as i can" corner where if you head it you'll probably get a concussion.

If we're gonna go for a current Prem striker, and spend another fortune.....which I would be very surprised at.....then it would have to be Kane.Cheaper, lower quality options would be Arnautovic or Ighalo.
If we spend 60m on a striker it must be Dybala. Unbelievable talent to think we could have got him last summer for what we paid for bony.

I like Dybala but wouldn't he be too similar to Aguero? or is that the point? i'm not too informed on what type of striker Pep prefers.

Daniel levy would have a field day with our owners cash if we went for Kane!!! I wish we would bang a huge offer in for bale to honest.

I was always under the impression Dybala to Juventus was agreed well before last summer as a replacement for Tevez, I 'm not sure why people assume we could have got him.

Well we could have contacted him earlier than they did, outbid them, put pressure on their deal etc. KDB looked set for bayern, otamendi was heading to United, pogba was off to Barcelona, United had wrapped up firmino...

Im not saying we'd definitely have signed him but we could have signalled more intent than we did.

As you say, Dybala not available, too much money and still needs to be playing every week, especially in a new league.

Aguero is the pathway to success and also the hurdle to long-term progression. That applies in the immediacy and longer term.

It's why I think Pep will pull something out of the hat, but I think Vardy has shown enough to earn a shot, can run the channels, and would know his place in the grander scheme?

If we are talking somebody who fits the criteria of playing across all front three positions, we could always make a cheeky £90m bid for Bale...a decent bench option ;)

Not sure what he would cost but Cavani could be a decent shout.

I find Correa to be a very promising prospect and a kid who'll flourish under Guardiola. Deffo worth a shot! So I personally hope that he's atleast being considered at the City offices!

Can play anywhere in a front three, fast, direct and knows the league? Nothing to lose imo
I agree he's just the sort of player we need and a front 3 of Bale, Sterling and Aguero would be perfect. But I can't see a gross spend of more than £250 mill and I reckon the defence and central midfield are going to take £200 mill to get into shape so I can't see more than £50 mill being available for a wide attacking player hopefully Pep or the club have somebody up their sleeve that can provide that sort of threat for the money available. Course I could be wrong and we have more than that to spend in which case as you say why not.
