If we're gonna go for a current Prem striker, and spend another fortune.....which I would be very surprised at.....then it would have to be Kane.Cheaper, lower quality options would be Arnautovic or Ighalo.
Anartovic has the type of ball skill to succeed in our system. Kane is a superior footballer. Ighalo and Vardy are just not for me.

Most goals before age 23:
Ronaldo – 194
Raul – 145
Lionel Messi – 127
Sergio Aguero – 124
*Romelu Lukaku (with two months remaining) – 119*
Meh! kiddy stats don't impres me. Lukaku looked 23 at 15, soid expect him to do better than most.

Just watch him play: suspect passer, average ball control, average shooter, poor right leg. Just has enough deficiencies that would show up once he moves to the top end.

How much would Kane cost?

About three times what he's worth.

Buying players from PL clubs will be a mugs game. Nobody needs to sell. If they do, it will only be after extracting every drop of blood from the buyer, And making sure the deal doesn't happen until end of August after the player has threatened to strike.

No-one is going to second-guess Pep. It is highly probable that half of us will not even be aware of the existence of some of the guys he brings in, thats just the nature of the man. What we do know is, those that stay are going to be expected to put in A LOT more than they have been in Pelle's years.

If we could get a player of Costa's ability, it would improve us massivley. As Bayern showed last night, the players are able to command possession and if that tactic isn't working they have the ability to put in decent crosses and counter attack: all facets we have suddenly fallen short on

Our only player that can cross is KDB, sadly. All of our other players on the other just flings a low one into the box hoping it would meet someone, and most of the time that someone is the defender.

We have to learn from Bayern how to get the right deals.

They got their best striker for free

They bought Douglas Costa for 24 Million Pound while we paid 44 million for Sterling.

Another shitty dig at Sterling. I really can't wait to see what Pep will do with him.

True. I do feel that without a midfielder making a run into the box, they have the diminutive target of KDB to aim for - which highlights how good Sagna's cross against Watford and KDB's against Everton were.

My point is more having a versatile set of players and a fluid style of play. If we can unearth a Costa, or develop the prospects in our EDS it will be superb.

Sterling will flourish under Pep. If we played a style that allowed Sterling to take it past the man, or didn't require 20 passes to get to our wingers, then we would see his best.

Its not a dig at Sterling, I am just mentioning that you can get very good player for reasonable price which is something we rarely do.

But somehow I think it is Pellegrini's instruction that we keep the crosses low. Pretty sure any sunday league players could do a floating cross to the box. These players are being paid millions, I think they can do that. What's funny is that a lot of our goals from crosses, I remember them as a high/floating crosses, but we only do it a few times a game. Bony, as horrible as he is, is a major aerial threat. We could've utilised him better.
