I just don't see why we'd even look at another top keeper. Joe is utterly superb. We only need a better back up than Caballero; Joe should be our first choice for at least another 5 or 6 seasons yet.

Wasting £23m on a keeper worse than Joe is even sillier than when we wasted £7m on Willy instead of just keeping Pantilimon. Save the cash, use Gunn as back up, or get a decent championship keeper as back up. We should be saving as much cash as possible so we can genuinely improve the starting XI next season with Pogba and Alaba.

Out of the million reasons why this transfer won't happen, that one is pretty far down the list.

That source on Ter Stegen sucks... Bild, who are relible to some extent, posted one not far back with Zieler at Hannover being a 2nd choice keeper behind Hart. Only costa 3m if they get relegated which they are and is one of the most underrated keepers in Bundesliga AND homegrown.

Depends how Pep sees it, as well as how he sees Stones ability to multi-task. There's been talk of him using Stones as an example of a player who can contribute in multiple areas; Centre-Back, Sweeper & Defensive Mid all spring to mind.

Stones ability to multi-task? Guy can't even play as a centre-back and no, he is not his favoured type of player.
