PES 2011

I've not played PES for a couple of years.

Do the players/teams still have false names?
How many club teams are there as there only used to be a selection if i remember right
No all real names and a lot of real faces even for some of the more obscure players. Every City first teamer has a real face. I've taken some screenies and i'll post them up soon.

Some leagues are licensed. Ligue 1 in France is fully licensed with correct teams and kits. As is the Dutch League. Serie A and La Liga are partially licensed so most teams have correct kits and teams. Premier League only has Spuds and Scum as licensed teams. There is a full Champions League mode and a full Copa Libertadores with all licensed teams and kits. Copa Libertadores mode is class.

There are loads of option files made every year to make everything real though so there's no need to worry anyway. I've got mine installed now with all the correct teams/kits/transfers etc and the game isn't technically even out til tomorrow.

Haha Ono you should be taking commission from Konami for promoting their product non-stop and alleviating the fears of potential buyers.

I'll post some screenies now. Here's Kompany...

Looks good on video's
However reviews have been very average so far
Ignore the reviews mate. Seriously. They mean little. It's a game you have to play for yourself to decide if you like it.

Reviews are bought. Fact.

What would you suggest the min comp requirements are for the PC version? Mostly interested in the graphics...

And can you suggest a control pad to buy? :)

Requirements...

Intel Processor : Core 2 Duo E4400 2.0GHz
AMD Processor : Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
Nvidia Graphics Card : GeForce 7900 GT
ATI Graphics Card : Radeon HD 5550 512MB
RAM Memory: 2 GB
Hard Disk Space: 8 GB
Direct X: 9

I've got a Ati HD 4890, and it looks great. Much better than the PS3 or Xbox. I've got a quad core 955 processor and it runs the game great. You can probably go lower and get away with running it on max settings anyway.

I use the Xbox controller for Windows. Cost about £18 from Amazon. It's decent.

New PES is absolutely immense, pre-ordered it and got it this afternoon, have just been on it for five hours, time to take a breather...

Passing is smooth, slick, and extraordinarily realistic, and I find myself laughing at delight at how real some of the moves I've created feel. But if you're not into tiki-taka then it's also very easy to play a long ball game as well, which can definitely be effective when you're playing with an inferior team.

Only disappointments for me are:
No Libertadores teams in Master League mode! Aargh!
Shooting a little bit floaty for my liking.
I've got it on 360 so I'll have to wait AGES for an Option File.

Apparently it's £30 in Asda tomorrow, might get in a few days, still trying to get used to the demo.

re: PC Specs

I've got

p5200 (2 cores @ 3.0ghz)
4gb Ram
9800 GT

and it's running flawlessly on maximum settings at 1600*1050

peaks out at around 70% cpu, 40% gpu usage.... (we really do need that LOD mixer)

Ono mate, link us up to the City kits.... or are they the same files as for 2010?
