If he was dressed head to toe in United stuff then there would be 7 pages ridiculing him.

For me it's each to his own, good luck to him if that's what he enjoys doing.

Can't believe that he hasn't got into some grief with some toerags over the years, given all the aways he has been to.

In all that time it would only take one idiot. and let's face it, there are plenty of people fulfilling that criteria at matches. And it's not like he keeps a low profile.

Must be some sort of ninja/mind control expert.

Have to admit those were my thoughts when reading through this thread. No disrespect here, I've never met him myself and from the comments on here from those who have he seems a nice bloke but if I've got this right, he has travelled home and away to city matches for as long as people can remember, on his own, on public transport, dressed like that?

Yes.

When I met at Oldham away back in the early 90s he showed me what he carried in his bag as protection, tightly rolled-up newspapers/magazines, told me that's what they'd get round the head if he was attacked. Don't know if he still carry's it now.

In the 70s/80s he was a regular on the specials so that would have made it less likely that he'd get jumped at aways. I bumped into him on the tube on Sunday on the way back from Chelsea, as has been said he is very wary and reserved when anyone speaks to him so maybe he has had the odd run-in with opposition fans over the years.

it would have to be a proper shithouse to hit an old guy that is obviously not looking for it... lets hope the club give him a superbia season ticket for life... what a touch of class that would be!!! somebody on here must have contacts at the club that can get the ball rolling...

Agreed, the club should do an interview with him, I bet he's got some stories to tell.
