Some quality badges on his jacket

Exactly, Roger Palmer! Brilliant!

My mate Jim and his brother Steve went to White Hart lane in the late 70's and were walking to the ground, no colours and not speaking when they thought they had been sussed out as a handful of fans were following behind. Just as they turned a corner, Jim took a quick glance behind him to find Pete about 5 feet behind them looking like a walking souvenir shop!

Ha ha!I asked him years ago if he had ever had any bother being dressed like that and he said no,not even at Millwall. In some ways that kind of gave me hope as you would expect at least one knob to give him a slap, especially if we had won away....mind you we rarely did in the really bad hoolie days, lol!

I got to know him a fair bit in the 83 - 85 years as he'd be on the Special to away games. he always said he never had any bother - but was ready for it if there was! Always had steel capped boots on!
He also would have a glass whisky bottle that he would swig out of..... remember him getting a bit annoyed at Highbury when his bag was searched and they took it off him!
He lived in Accrington then.

He is a LEGEND spoke to him a few times what a great fella to chat with if you get the chance! Pete needs looking after by city be a nice thing for them to do from the club ..

my two little lads think he moonchester and moonbeams dad , lol , the little on aged 4 said he wants to be citys best fan just like that man is when hes older , bless . would be great if city honoured him in some way , he is a star .

A top top guy and sums up most Blues to be honest.Like a laugh,a bit mad and self depreciating and loyal to the core.

We lost another big character in Helen it would be nice if the club could recognise his loyalty and fun he fetches to games before he is also lost to us forever.

Could not agree more.

I took that picture of Pete waving his scarf about in the south stand, it was when we were all given free scarves for the Derby game. I was doing an artists project with the club, I remember entering that photograph into the Guardian weekly photo competition in the Saturday magazine, it came second that week!

Top fella, he reminded me of the sort of bloke Peter Blake would have painted.

Remember this guy from maine road when i was kid, i used to hear my dad and his mates talking about him saying he was an handy guy apparently done three middlesborough fans on his own, might have just been an urban myth going around maine road.

Saw him loads in my traveling days in the 70's and 80's, what a blue he is. Spoke a few times on the way back to town after a game, comes over a really nice blue. I love seeing the badges, mine are no more but reminds me of those days, the laughs we used to have, we never expected to win so went for a good day out, if we got a point it was like winning a semi, oh those days. Good luck to him if he moves to Majorca but will be sadly missed, would love City to honour him in some way

Actually i could believe the Middlesborough fans story. If you look in his eyes and speak to him you can see the inner strength inside the smiling character.

In our brief chat he said he was fed up with the country and the way it is going, like a lot of people his age.He has some friends in Majorca and who could blame him for wanting a bit of sun on his back in his later years?

Peter was born in Blackpool. I've got a chat with him at Highbury '04. When a ticket tout came up us he was looking only at Him...so Pit got out his blue wallet and paid 50 pounds note...
