Peter Drury replaces Martin Tyler on Sky Sports

There was another Tylerism that usually followed a bad foul by Paul Scholes, and a subsequent gesture towards the match official, which was mysteriously, nearly always reciprocated.

Tyler would reference a hitherto unknown rule that some footballers are more protected than others.

“Scholes acknowledging that a yellow card will accompany his next offence”
The lie first told by Ferguson that 'poor little Scholesy only committed fouls because he was not good at defending' or whatever, is now set in stone and in fact should be on his grave stone as so many fell for that tosh.

In fact he was a dirty little bastard who timed his sort of tackle to perfection.

and every commentator for every horror tackle used to laugh and say hes not that type of player hes just not good at tackling (yet the myth from the media was that he was a world class midfielder)

You can tell Scholes is a nasty bloke from interviews and the smug loaded arrogance accompanying every comment, without irony. Always the quiet ones.

Tyler hates Liverpool, his enthusiasm is equal to that of someone ordering a pizza or giving directions for every goal. Never forget the Benteke/Martial incident, clearly a United fan hiding behind a Woking shirt.

Yes, he shows this every time he shouts Bobby Firminooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Similarly, whenever he mentions City's 5-0 victory over Liverpool, he appears legally obliged to suggest that the final scoreline wasn't a fair reflection because Liverpool were down to 10 men.

No doubt that's what prompted him to scream "That's payback for the red card!" when Mane scored against City at Klanfield later in the season.
