The "voice of football" for me over the years and in my view a brilliant commentator. Has covered huge moments superbly. He deserved a proper send off from Sky Sports at the end of the season.

You might catch a few with this.
The only send off this twat deserves is with a two bore.

Probably should’ve gone years ago tbh. I think the fact that fans of almost every team think that he dislikes their club is pretty damning of his commentary style. Hope they get someone like Peter Drury to replace him.

What a great start to a weekend. Hopefully he takes a few others down with him. Looks like a few cuts at Slysports, probably due to falling viewing figures. Maybe, just maybe, it's due to alienating many supporters from clubs other than those wearing red.

I hope, and I fervently wish, and I keep my fingers crossed that this will see the end of rag TV on Sly. No more biased reportage, no more foaming at the mouth in sheer unbridled adulation from the Sly reporters when a rag deigns himself available for an interview. No more pathetic attempts at trying to justify why Ratboy 2 wasn't red-carded when he launched a two-footed potential leg breaker on an opponent. No more trying to justify giving the rags a penalty when Rashford throws himself to the ground 3 yards outside of the opponents' penalty area.

Maybe, just maybe, the media in this country will stop with their rag-obsessed tunnel vision and give other clubs a fair crack of the whip. Who knows, there actually might come a time when Sly employ commentators and presenters, pundits etc that have no connection to the rags?

I've always thought he is a great commentator and that Aguero moment was done perfectly

That just illustrates what little care or respect Sly have for their subscribers. The disgusting behaviour of Spitty with that young kid should have seen his media career end there and then. It didn't. Because of Sly Sports.
