Apparently the atmosphere was a bit strange. He may of mentioned it once or twice....

You could be right there. THE WORD BANGING ON ABOUT IT springs to mind

Dave Whelan rang Tyler up after the game asking him to please stop repeating himself with the same story all the time

"Tyler is no longer a football fan..." I actually think I agree with that. He's turned in to a drama whore, only getting excited when something a little out of the ordinary or unexpected happens. Which maybe is a backhanded compliment to us because he expects us to score all the time which is why maybe he doesn't get excited when we do?

I know that I can put the tv on mute but I hate watching the game with no crowd noise.

It's getting to the stage that Tyler is ruining games with his banality, inanity, bias and down right shit commentating. I appreciate Barkley scored a worldie, but his reaction to our two goals couldn't have displayed any more disappointment if he tried.

It's time this **** was put out to pasture. It's got to the point I'm considering cancelling my Sky Sports sub and just watching it online (assuming I can get a Spanish/foreign commentary).

yeah whatever !! said:
Impartiality aint his thing..anyone with poor eyesight will struggle to know when City score such is the lack of conviction in his commentary when we do.

When Merlin scored the equalizer at Klandlefield 2 weeks ago in the biggest game of the prem season to date,Tyler's voice level actually dropped.

Many a time this season, I've wondered if we've actually scored or just hit side netting, due to Tyler's low key commentary.

Exactly. I don't want people fawning over us but of fuck's sake, at least be consistent with both sides you are commentating on. The fucker can barely hide his contempt for us.

Do what I do if you're watching City in your own house - turn the sound off!! Why do you need a daft twat like Tyler telling you what's happening when you can see it for yourself. Okay you can't hear the crowd but you get a great perspective of the match unfolding before you without this biased twat in your ear hole. Try it, it's great.

I think Sky turned the crowd noise down. When watching it on MOTD later, the crowd was much louder in the sound mix.

Sky reds gave us no compliments at all for going to a place we've found so hard in recent years and winning, or holding our nerve at 3-2 or bouncing back from the Liverpool/Sunderland results.

This from a Celtic fan on a general football forum:

"Surprised no-one on here has mentioned it yet, given the "general attitude" shall we say, towards Liverpool on this message board, but did anyone else find Sky Sports' (and particularly Martin Tyler's) coverage of the game yesterday to be an an absolute joke?
He must have mentioned the "strange" atmosphere about 100 times throughout the match, constantly going on about the silence, how it's usually rocking, how the players seemed relaxed, how they would have to "field serious questions about their performance" after the match. When Dzeko scored to make it 2-1, he sounded almost disappointed, or unenthusiastic at the very least! Gary Neville even said at one point "I'll be honest with you Martin, I'm bored watching this game".
I for one didn't see many disappointed faces in the crowd when Barkley scored his wonder-strike, and to question the Everton players/manager's willingness to win the game was completely unjustified as they gave it a bloody good go! I for one thought it was a really good game, with 2 teams doing their utmost to win it.
I know it's not exactly a secret that the overwhelming majority of Sky Sports pundits etc want Liverpool to win the league, but the completely biased nature of the coverage yesterday was so clear, and really rather embarrassing."

It seems the twunts at Sky know they need the armchair dippers to replace the armchair rags.

Motd's coverage made it seem like a totally different game, particularly the first half. Their commentator said City we're excellent in the first half but Nevile said he was 'bored'.

Either way, fuck 'em.
