Peter Drury replaces Martin Tyler on Sky Sports

I was reading in to todays paper that Tyler,who lives in Surrey,got a lift home in the Chelsea bus after the Sunderland game.
Mmmmmmmm.

He lives within a stones throw of the Chelsea training facility. He's not a Chelsea fan.

I never hear the guy commentate as I'm always at the ground for home games or I watch a stream or listen to GMR for aways.
I met him this year due to my work and I can honestly say he's a really nice bloke.
He was shocked when I told he I was a City fan, as this was after the Dippers v Madrid game.
He knows 'we' don't like him but he says he tends to go for the underdog in games.
We were always the underdog but not any more.
He said he really wanted dippers to win the league cos of the ' story' (hype) around the 96 etc.
As he left he started singing,
' City, City, the best team in the land etc !

As I said I don't listen to his commentaries and told him so.
He did say he wAs just very lucky to have had the mike when Sergio scored to win the league .
