Peter Drury replaces Martin Tyler on Sky Sports

Found myself swearing at the TV second half when Tyler gave a long stream of ranting about how shit we were in general, with the odd 'Manchester United' thrown in. Wish they'd pension the twat off.

I watched the highlights on MOTD and the difference in commentary for the goals from BBC & SKY are worlds apart.

It's happened 5 times now during the games on Merseyside. Goals which have been absolutely crucial in the title race and yet no intonation or excitement, just apathy and despondency.

Both Tyler & Neville were rooting for a slip up. It was as if they wanted to create a self fulfilling prophecy - if we say it enough times, it will happen. I'll guarantee if the game had the same pattern and we were 2-1 down, they wouldn't have been bored.

1-0 - Everton wonder goal
1-1 - Fine goal from Aguero
1-2 - Great header Dzeko
1-3 - Good play from Nasri, tap in goal.
2-3 - Great cross from Baines and powerful finish from Luakaku.

In between we had Sergio & Yaya limping off. Garcia running the risk of a red card and Barkley having a blinder. Plus a few crucial saves from Joe and 25 mins of back to the wall defending.

Yet those two wankers were bored? Nothing to do with the game. Nothing to with the atmosphere. Simply down to the fact that City were leading.

Impartiality aint his thing..anyone with poor eyesight will struggle to know when City score such is the lack of conviction in his commentary when we do.

When Merlin scored the equalizer at Klandlefield 2 weeks ago in the biggest game of the prem season to date,Tyler's voice level actually dropped.

Had Jim Beglin and Peter Drury over here in Aus. Utter, utter dross. Some of their comments would've made Joseph Goebbels cringe.

It reminded me of the game at Wolves two years ago. I recorded the match, watched it an hour late. I hadn't heard the United v Everton result and skipped the pre match and half time analysis. It wasn't until the 2nd half that Neville actually mentioned that United had dropped points. All very understated.

He really ought to retire. No passion anymore he doesn't even seem a football fan these days just sees it as a nice little retirement earner.

I miss Andy Gray, say what you want about the man but he was passionate about football commentary, he still had years left.

Cancelling my Sky contract when it ends.

Going for a combination of Freeview + Netflix + Now TV unless Sky can make it worthwhile.

Just tell them how much you can afford. They can discount the TV element of any package by as much as they want - I only pay 50%, I've heard of people who pay less. When the contract comes to an end, I ring to say I can't afford the standard price and they always let me renew at the discounted rate.

Sky cannot discount phone and broadband because they're just reselling, so I have similar deals with my phone and broadband providers who sell their own.

Apparently the atmosphere was a bit strange. He may of mentioned it once or twice....

Didn't he come on the pitch at half-time in a wig with a glass of chardonnay ....

"Where are you?"

"Where are you?"

"Let's be having you!"

... or was that a different game?
