Nope....well probably some.

I suppose you could say he made City the unpredictables we all love.

Cheers Swalesy

I don't know why you have forgotten the gypsy curse that is on us and has followed us from Maine Road to Eastlands.

Because I was told that that was Swales in drag!

Met him a couple of times towards the end of his time with city and thought he was nice guy.............anyone else have a good word about him?!!!!

He is the main reason we've been through 34 years of shite. He got rid of Tony Book & brought Allison back who then proceeded to dismantle a successful team. If you've ever seen the City Time Of Our Lives on Sky Summerbee & Lee slaughtered him as he also dismantled the club behind the scenes as well. I often wonder what it would have been like if Book had of been left in charge.

The worst thing to happen to our club. Ever.

He loved the club so much he held on to it as long as he could even though it was dying on it's arse. He was more concerned with his ego and than he was about city.

When he became chairman, he took over a club on the up. Not long since champions, cup wins, big crowds and one of the most forward thinking clubs in the country. When he fucked off, the club was skint and he'd changed the way Maine Road looked from a smart old ground to a dog's dinner. Oh and dont forget the cladding on the outside of the Main Stand.

Not a blue and was only interested in one thing Peter Swales. City were a means in him achieving his ambition of becoming FA Chairman, thankfully he never got there although he did get a post almost as important as chair of the International Committee He was adept at convincing people that he was a blue and a nice guy very much a charmer was very good at telling you what you wanted to hear. As other posters have pointed out he is the single reason for the past 30 odd years. Despite being a life president and having a number of seats as part of the takeover deal he never returned to see his "beloved" blues. I would also add that he made sure that he did everything in his power to screw FHL's chances of success before he sold something a true blue would never have done to City

Selling best players for too little and buying players for too much. Someone was getting brown envelopes with money in and we know who.

Sacking Reid after we finished 5th 2 seasons running and bringing in Brian Who. Enough was enough. Little did we know the Sky money was coming just at that time though, who would have predicted it. Swales was the Chairman of the Chairmans Board for the league back then and we may have been better with him for a couple of more years. He did have to go though.

Never mind the future's bright. Our best time for over 30 years may be coming. Grasp it.

The following was top drawer. On fence next to cage at 1.30 and left ground 5.15. A day I'll never forget:

Some of the goals were quality. How much ground did Hinchcliffe cover for that 5th!

Lady Swa Swa was his nickname. We evicted him from his gypsy site and buried his cart horse alive under the pitch and things were never the same.
