I used to travel to away games in the early '70's with a couple of friends, and when we got to Wembley, I got a ticket, but my two friends did'nt.
Swales lived in the neighbourhood, so my two friends went round to his house with all their proof of being at away games, like programmes and train tickets.
Peter Swales listened to them, then asked them to call back in a couple of days time, and he'd have them sorted out with tickets.
Sure enough, they went round and he gave them a ticket each.
I think that's a nice story about him, and I suppose it always coloured my view of him as a result.
We were only 16 at the time, but you can guess how made up we were.
