I don't think that a Welsh team should be playing in the English Premier League same as I wouldn't want Rangers or Celtic playing in the English Premier League as they are Scottish

It's all a bit racist to be honest and as far as Im concenrned there's nowt wrong with taffies. :)

Absolutely sam. A very good friend of mine happens to be Welsh and apart from being a drunken arse most of the time, he's actually a top bloke, even though he's quite clearly Welsh. It's amazing really.

I don't want Cardiff to come up because I simply don't like them but the OP's posts are just simply bollocks. They've been playing in the English League since I think the 1920's, maybe earlier, due to their being no professional Welsh league and the fact they had become quite a large and successful club. So for you to just say now after 90+ years that they shouldn't be allowed to play in the English League system is just utter horse shit. Take your blinkered and prejudice thoughts elsewhere.

I have a personal interest as my mum's a born and bred taff from Rhonnda, and we have family in Cardiff. My Uncle is a season ticket holder too. I would prefer Blackpool to come up personally, because it will probably be thee best away day for years, if not decades. Not sure what the OP is getting at but you have confirmed what I thought, that the Welsh league was none existent when the Welsh clubs joined the English league. I think the OP needs to visit Cardiff and realise what a massive City it is and what a big club Cardiff are. We're not talking Wrexham here.

Why do do many people on here get so fucking angry about trivial nonsense that someone else they have never ever ever met nor will, posts somhthing they dont really ccare about one way or the other?

Why?

What makes you so angry with the world?

Despite possible promotion to the Premiership, aren't Cardiff on the brink of going out of Business?....... who is their Chairman again??????

As for the OP, you really want to have a deeper look at things. I suppose you wouldn't have wanted Bert Trautman to have played for City because he isn't English?...... we shouldn't have Germans playing in the English Leagues.

We play in the ENGLISH premier league not a UNITED KINGDOM premier league.

Anyone out there able to make up a petition to stop Cardiff getting into the EPL?
Thanks

Yeah, cos the FA ALWAYS listen to the fans. and a good interweb petition will solve everything.

Did I ever say that I didn't want any foreign players in the EPL. The influx of foreign players has made the EPL what it is today.

In answer to your other query, their chairman is Peter Risdale and yes they have been close to going out of business recently

You have just answered your own question there mate. Back in the day, i'm sure the 'influx' of the Welsh clubs made for a more interesting league. Its exactly the same.

1 They aren't promoted yet Blackpool will have a say in it

2 There are plenty of example worldwide where Teams from other Countries being in different leagues works like how many Canadian teams play in the American National Hockey League? Australia changed from their own Australasia to Asia just to give themselves more competition

Perhaps the FAW should chuck Oswestry out of the Welsh Premier because they are english? The only thing thats wrong for me is in the case of an appeal over a red cardf Cardiff Wrexham or Swansea appeal to the FAW not the FA

Question Pigeonho for you if I may. Can Cardiff actually qualify for Europe through English competitions?

Don't know mate, although I can't see why not.

They'll bring a good loud away following. So they are more than welcome in my opinion.

I remember a game about 1992ish when Cardiff were due to play Stockport away. That game, for whatever reason, was postponed but the Cardiff fans were already in the area. We let them into our game, anyone remember that? They went into the away end. Not sure who we were playing but I remember being stood in the Kippax and all the older blokes were having good banter with the Welsh.

Most of my best friends are English so I'm not racist either, and not a single one of them wears a flat cap or has whippets, although some do come from Cheshire.

So maybe you should start a petition to get Peter Risdale banned from The Premier League...... if anyone shouldn't be allowed in, it is him. After the goings on at Leeds when he was in charge, surely he shouldn't pass any Fit and Proper Person test.

I don't know the full ins and outs of what has gone on at Cardiff, but it looks a little Portsmouth like, although Cardiff have spent relatively little money, but are in a massive amount of debt. Sam Hammam should have some answers, he appears to have been in the thick of it all.

There is no shuch thing as the EPL or the English football league. It is the Premier League and the Football League and they were set up as such. The Football League was always open to all British teams if they wanted to apply and was quite supprised back in the 1880's that two certain Scotish teams declined thier advances. The football League did manage to poach a couple of teams from its one time rival the Southern League (Arsnal & Chelsea). We should all remember our history.

Spot on the league is called The FA Premier League no mention of the word English...It's only called the EPL abroad for TV
