Did I ever say that I didn't want any foreign players in the EPL. The influx of foreign players has made the EPL what it is today.

In answer to your other query, their chairman is Peter Risdale and yes they have been close to going out of business recently

So maybe you should start a petition to get Peter Risdale banned from The Premier League...... if anyone shouldn't be allowed in, it is him. After the goings on at Leeds when he was in charge, surely he shouldn't pass any Fit and Proper Person test.

I don't know the full ins and outs of what has gone on at Cardiff, but it looks a little Portsmouth like, although Cardiff have spent relatively little money, but are in a massive amount of debt. Sam Hammam should have some answers, he appears to have been in the thick of it all.

2 There are plenty of example worldwide where Teams from other Countries being in different leagues works like how many Canadian teams play in the American National Hockey League? Australia changed from their own Australasia to Asia just to give themselves more competition

As for 2, what you say is not strictly true. They went into the Asian confederation from Oceania to give themselves LESS competition, because as it was, they always ended up playing South American teams like Uruguay to qualify for the World Cup. They didn't think that was fair, so joined Asia. And subsequently qualified with ease...They'd have you believe, however that it was for better competition...

The one thing I hate about their new Stadium, is that they play Rugby on it, and you can gaurantee that it would be a bog when we got to play them away, like Hull and like Wigan in the past.

Are you numpties already forgetting that they have played in the top English division before and even finished 2nd once? What about Monaco? They play in the French league yet they are from a completely separate country while Wales is part of the United Kingdom. Monaco even gets to pay less taxes than French clubs thanks to that.

back in the day english teams like hereford & shrewsbury couldn't qualify for europe by winning the welsh cup. the same was assumed to be the case for a welsh team winning the fa cup but the sitautaion never arose. however 2 years ago twatini said that if cardiff won the fa cup (they got to the final remember) they can do.

on the other hand welsh clubs in the english pyramid (cardiff, swansea, newport, wrexham & i think colwyn bay too) aren't even allowed to enter the welsh cup any more.

in the meanwhile the welsh league has been a disaster and over the summer it will be slashed so that it will comprise only about 10 clubs and the rest, along with their attendances of 200, will be fucked off into even more minor leagues.

Sorry mate, you're wrong on two counts.

One, better competition was the reasoning behind moving confederations. It just so happens that just a few measly games against small island nations such as Solomon Islands is in no way adquate preparation for playing strong, established footballing nations such as Uruguay. Or Scotland or Argentina, or any other of the countries we've been lumped with in the past.

Two, whilst we did qualify with a game to spare, the negotiation of two qualification groups stood us in much greater stead than in previous years, with a range of different playing conditions/venues encountered.

Significantly, the move to Asia also gives clubs in our A-League the chance to compete in the Asian Champions League competition.

It is, however, worth noting that a team from New Zealand competes in the A-League, Wellington Phoenix. The presence of a New Zealand team is I believe a gesture to the development of New Zealand football, given that we kinda ditched them for Asia, leaving them to fester in the footballing wasteland that is Oceania. Of course, granted a play-off against an Asian team rather than South American, they subsequently qualified anyway!

But having a Kiwi team in our league has caused a bit of consternation amongst those in the Asian confederation, the precise detail of which I can't be bothered detailing. There would be a bit of a problem though if Wellington Phoenix manage to qualify for the Asian Champions League, given that as it stands they're ineligible to compete in it!

Exactly my earlier point. Why don't they play in the Welsh Premier League, that would help out the FAW and bring more money into the Welsh game. Win-Win as Cardiff et al would have more chance of Europe too..
