Petrov Celebration !

Petrov has a right to be a little bit pissed. He has been brilliant for city and deserved his chance after his injury. Personally i think he is better than robbie on the wing and gives us much more width and pace 442 just suits us a lot better. Why has he got an attitude ??? because he knows he can contribute to the team. He has ether scored or assisted in every game hes played. Honestly it will be hard to replace any of the players that played last night.

On a seperate note what was up with Barry last night??? He looked drunk

Well his celebration is now causing a lot of offence to some blues , they rather he not score than point to his name like he has done his entire career.
It's not a lot to ask of him to not celebrate his hard work, maybe if instead he kissed his badge and dyed his pubes blue after every goal, just a thought

Way off the mark...Its his celebration now...does it for Bulgaria too.

Dont try and kid yourselfs we know hes got an attitude problem and yes alot of people point to there name when they score but not towards there manager

Rooney, adebayor, rvp, drogba, terry, bellers...so on and so forth have got attitude problems so what..great players..

If we had a team full of puffs then we should worry.

If petrov scores one and sets one up everytime he's selected , i dont suppose MH will be to bothered about having to read his name whenever he scores !

I saw it as "remember me" against Barnsley and Rangers and still do.

I dunno. I think he needs to knock it on the head. Celebrate the goal with your team-mates and be happy you've scored.

I don't think it's something he does so fans don't 'forget him'. I think it's more of him using the fan power to put pressure on Hughes to pick him. Although i am cynical.

For me he still has a lot to give and does offer something on the wing we dont get from Robbie, his crosses can be awesome and fingers crosseed Ade or RSC up front will eat them for breakfast . I can see why he did it like I can see why Ade went charging over to the Arsenal fans, Emotion.
That being said not the smartest things to do but sometimes it just take over you.
My only concern is his work rate when covering generally is not good enough for me (although last night he did better) he is much happier running forwards than helping out running back....by the way Robbie is the same.
If he plays like he can then I would happily have him in my side in front of Robbie but 8-9 players last night worked there arses off for 90 + minutes and I think he has got to realise that he has got to start doing the same if he wants to keep that shirt.....if he does I would love for him to do what he does best throughout the season.

Great player, probably promised first team football and has had his promise neglected. So he does have the right to celebreate like that after seeing the way he has been playing.

I noticed as soon as he scored he did his trademark name celebration, but he scored and ran in the direction of the dug outs, then turned and it did it as if it was like him saying to hughes 'remember me, i'm still here'

Not bothered about his celebration,he can shake his tic tac's if he want's. As long as he keeps scoring n it does'nt bother hughes!!!!!

His performances in midfield have eclipsed SWP and Ireland in what little time he's had on the pitch. He's every right to keep reminding Hughes he's still got a lot to give.

His performance should do that not the smart ass celebration IMO!

iI liked it. Just like i loved the Adebayor celebration.

He has every right to show his passion when he scores and give it back to anyone who perhaps 'doubted' him. I love the job Hughes is doing; he's getting a squad which is obviously full of passion and desire to win.

Petrov is a moody bastard, he won't want to sit on the bench and last night he showed what he brings to the squad and to the team.

I love the fact it pisses him off that he's not playing. It means he'll give 100% to grab his chance and that can only be good for the team.

"I saw Petrov track back and cover Bridge". I might get a t-shirt with that on. Yet more 'kudos' to the management because i never thought i'd see Petrov do that

You forgot Barcelona as well. Hes that good we even forget about the goals he scores.
I'm sure he pointed at the back of his shirt when Sven was in charge too. I seem to remember him doing it away to Fulham when he scored that volley into the near post after a one-two with Elano.

Yes, Petrov, you are a complete bastard and now that Micah is not in the team another whipping boy is needed.

No-one played shit so unlucky, it's you. The old "bad attitude" routine. You should be used to us needing someone to blame any future defeat on. In the absence of someone having a bad game, you are first on the list.

How dare you want to play and battling for your place after showing time and again what you can do for City in the past.

pisses me off his celebration! he scored an awesome goal and then goes and pisses me off!
