Petrov on City on SSN

Disappointed in Petrov but he's just mad he went from City to Bolton. He's 100% right when he was fit he definitely had a chance to start. With the new rule limiting squad size is the biggest reason City can't afford to have a injury prone Petrov or RSC in the squad.

Whats unprofessional is him crying to the media. What City did was very professional. Knowing they didn't want Petrov they let him leave for free. Instead of signing him to a contract just to get money in the transfer market.

Thank you for your service Petrov your a great winger. Just wish you took the high road.

I am Martin's bitter sense of rejection. Points to name on shirt after scoring average goal against mid-table team....

Just want to share something here.
When City went for friendly Match in Thailand and lost. Other player just went on to take shower. Nobody care much about result of friendly match.
There was only Patrov who still sitting quietly and his face showing disappointment.
Some have Football as a career but Patrov take it more seriously. He always gives all he has for the team.
Problem is him cannot win managers heart but his work rate is there for all to see every match in City shirt.

Good luck.

I don't get why everyone is having a go at him?!

He's a class winger, one of the best we've ever had at the club! Stop being such bitter bastards and grow up, Jesus.

He's pissed off because when he played, he scored and played well, yet found himself on the bench far too often. So he's rejected another year of being on the bench with us, took a pay cut, gone to a mid-table team for first team football. What's wrong with that?

Communication does seem to be a problem too. For example, SWP's contract talks, Ireland not knowing whether he's in the plans or not, Onuoha getting the feeling that Mancini doesn't like him etc.

One good game etc? Really? We really do have some bitter fans on here.

I am with you - he just seemed disappointed - had he been younger we might not have let him go - but this is the way it will be - we cannot keep everyone!!

Really pleased that I don't have to watch Petrov in a City shirt any more. Yes he'd occasionally shine but for 90% of the time he was just a lazy fooker not interested in playing for the team, continually leaving our LB exposed. No defensive responsibilities, tackled like a girl.

To get where we want to be we can't afford passengers like him.

I think some of this is Sky trying to make something out of nothing.

If you watch Sky they only show him talking about the lack of communication.

If you listened to more of the interview that was played on GMR last night he also goes on to say that he has nothing against City & he thanks us for giving him the chance to play in the premiership.

I have no problem with him & will be giving him a decent reception when he returns.

After all, thats what attacking wingers are there for!

I have nothing bad to say about Petrov, he was a very good winger for us and scored some brilliant goals.

Thank you for your support Petrov and hope you do well at Bolton!

This is exactly how I feel.

+1

just a little bitter from knowing his time was up and would only have played a second fiddle to adam johnson.

if he keeps fit will do well going forward for bolton

I dispair at City fans sometimes. Here's a player who wasn't happy to just sit on the bench and collect a fat pay cheque. I'll bet he wasn't on anywhere near the money the likes of Robinho was on too. He was a decent player and scorer of some excellent goals. I've never heard him say one bad word about City, and no, saying you're upset you aren't getting games is not dis-respectful to either manager or team, it shows you want to play and that's all.

I hope he does very well at Bolton (except against us of course). Good luck Martin and thanks for all you've done for City over the last 3 years, shame you weren't able to contribute more but you can hardly be blamed for that.
