Pets, what is the point ?

Because a good pet is wonderful, they are companions who don't answer back, offer you the greatest loyalty and friendship.

I lost my amazing dog 1 year and 3 months ago and there's still a hole in my life. I suppose that is the negative, when a loved pet dies I don't know if you ever truly get over it. But it's worth it for the 12 or so years he gave us.

I can well understand that Karen. I had a cat called Sacha for 15 years and when he died I was distraught. He just disappeared one day but, as he had been getting thinner etc, I now know he went off to die.
I bloody loved that cat :-(

Cats are nice.

I don't have one myself but my garden seems to be a popular meeting place for these beautiful creatures.

As for dogs, they should be put down humanely. Their owners should be shot.

If others want pet's then fine with me, no idea why someone would get wound up about anothers lifestyle if it doesn't impact upon them.

I do hate daft women with toy dogs but i appreciate it's their choice and nowt to do with me.

If the dog knows licking the pan is a treat and knows it's place a-la only licks it when given it by owner and not a naughty fucker i see no issue.

Cats are evil creatures - colonising houses, eating dead animals and leaving their poo everywhere.

cats always cover up their wee and poo,dogs dont,they just let rip then walk off and they dont chase cars or chuck themselves into a pond because they are told to,they have a mind of their own.I am a dog lover to but wouldnt have one,too much like hard work

They shit in my garden, murder birds and make a hell of a noise every night. Selfish bastards.

I used to have German Sheps. Probably the best breed ever. Then I went for a Border Collie: high maintenance ;-)

I find my cat really entertaining. It's a rescue cat that had a bad time and got abandoned. It now doesn't let any other cat near the house. Other cats don't set foot (paw) in our garden because they know they'll get a good hiding.
