PFA Awards | De Bruyne and Foden win POTY and YPOTY

The response to this award is quite amusing.

KDB is a worthy winner, again. That he didn't star in the way he did last season, he remained hugely important and influential in City wining the title.

I know plenty of people diss the use of stats but they have a place and Kevins, based on whoscored.com's ranking, which accounts for every touch of the ball, was second only to Harry Kane in the league but ahead therefore of all his City team mates. City had an incredible season in no small part due to Kev and that is what put him ahead of Kane and his bunch of losers at Spurs.

Kev's influence is very much in his numbers, that is less true of Dias and that's why you do need more than just stats but it's not some great travesty that Kev won.

Stats are meaningless, the fact is that Dias in his first season in English football was a colossus, he transformed our season, led the team and transformed John Stones into a high class CB.

Adding to that, the contributions of Ederson, Walker, Foden, Gundo and probably even Zinc were greater than Kev.

Delighted for KDB and the club, but have to say I find this a strange choice.

Most players are thick as %%%% , they listen to the narrative.

KDB is a magnificent footballer but to me has had an ordinary season by his standards and not as good as a handful of his teammates.
Agreed, been very ordinary at times, but brilliant in other games. A bit of a mixed bag for Kev this season gone by.

Wow.... people having a moan because one of our own players won the PFA player of the season

"Not in my lifetime"
Far from it, but we took the piss and rightly so when Henderson got it , despite not even been the best player in his own team, and in my opinion the same has happened this year.

As said delighted for KDB but to me he is not even in the top 3 in our teams player of the season.

Just think City fans are being honest about KDB, there have been far better preformers for the Blues this season. He is still a fantastic player though.

The year we won the title under Pelegrini, Yaya was incredible, almost won the title on his own, twenty plus goals, numerous assists, stunning season, yet nothing.

I have always found some of these choices for awards strange, although as said before, great to see the club getting the recognition they deserve.
