PFA Back Tevez

I am surprised that anyone is surprised. That is what the PFA is there for, just like any union.

They are not the problem, Kia fucking knob head Joorabchian is the problem. He seriously needs to be reined in. He is just like a puppet master controlling the strings. He has got rid of Cook now he is going for Mancini. He wheels out Hughes as a puppet at will. He has already used Onuoha. That only leaves NDJ. Has anyone else noticed how unhappy Nige is looking recently and his contract negotiations haven't gone well. I wonder why?

I am beginning to believe that if the Tevez camp persist in trying to defend the indefensible and even attempt to go on the attack the Sheik will decide to let him rot for the rest of his contract and effectively ruin his football career.

Could the club refuse to do business with a particular agent?

Would it be lawful to do so???

And if such could they say to an individual player we will honour your current contract but refuse to negotiate any more while you are with your current agent, effectively find another agent or sorry but it's goodbye??

Taylor is doing what he's paid for representing his members interests. Although he's an arrogant little cnut from my own experiences with him.

Can't help but think he maybe using it for his own exposure too. I cannot recall him doing a big press statement when Plymouth players weren't (and still aren't being paid) and backing their strike action.

As PB and Macca have said, I too used to be a rep and the cases I was trained not to have an opinion on them but to defend them the best you could. They might not morally have a hope in hell but if the company has cocked up procedually it's your job to point that out. In the Carlos case I cannot see City cocking the case up procedually by the amount of legal advice they have sought. They have made the case watertight and I believe would be ruthless enough to let him sit on his arse for 3 years on his contract as an example to any other present or future player at the club.

I agree and also agree with 99% of the comments on what should happen to him however the club may have one little concern, Publicity from around the world and how this could affect.
Despite my union affiliations I truly believe this is the only reason the Tevez/Kia camp have gone down this road. Publicity.

Oh you can take that to the bank Maken, and Sky is the push bike.

I haven't heard one person - and that includes rags - who has one iota of sympathy for Tevez. Every manager I've seen on tv has said it's about time players were brought into line. Not one player from any club past or present has backed him have they?

The only place this will not go down well is Argentina. The lost revenue from that country will blow a hole in Citys finanaces to the tune of tens of pounds.

I almost feel sorry for him as I don't think it is him doing half of this. He isn't the brightest star in the sky and is being manipulated by a slimy little toad puppetmaster with his won anti-City agenda.

(Reuters) - Carlos Tevez should not have been fined four weeks' wages by Manchester City as he did not refuse to play in last month's Champions League match at Bayern Munich, England's Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) said on Thursday.

"The PFA's opinion, based on all the evidence presented, is that Carlos Tevez never refused to play for the club," a statement said.

Following a disciplinary hearing that took place on Friday where PFA chief Gordon Taylor was in attendance, the Argentine international was fined on Tuesday after it was deemed he had committed five separate breaches of contract.

They included "an obligation to participate in any matches in which the player is selected to play ... when directed by a club official."

The PFA disagreed with Tuesday's ruling and have given their support to Tevez.

"This is accepted by the club in that the charge against Carlos made at the hearing was not one of refusing to play," the statement added.

"As such the PFA considers that there is no justification for a fine other than up to the prescribed sanction of 2 weeks wages agreed by the FA, the Premier League and PFA.

"The PFA has informed the Manchester City Football Club accordingly and Carlos will continue to be supported by the PFA in this regard."

After the 2-0 defeat at Bayern, furious manager Roberto Mancini told reporters Tevez had refused his request to go on as a second-half substitute.

The player later denied the accusation, saying he had not been asked to go on but to warm up and he felt he had already warmed up sufficiently.

Mancini said the player would never play for him again and media reports have speculated that Tevez, who again asked for a move in the last transfer window as he is unhappy in Manchester, will be sold in January whatever happens with the case.

Way back in the 1970`s I was the Shop Steward for 70+ Staff,at a then multi-national company,where I stood for 7 years.
Some of the crap I had to deal with was bordering on the verge of idiocy.Lateness, sickness etc, where some members believed I was not doing my job effectively,as they expected me to win EVERY bastard dispute.
I was the bees knees when cases were won,but the biggest useless twat going,if management won !!
However,it is correct that you show your members that you are trying your utmost to win for them, even if you know in your heart of hearts its going to be difficult.
Yes and "deals" were done with management in those days.Cases of you scratch my back etc,but this was not for personal gain, but to keep a happy work force.
Eventually when I moved, the two biggest whingers took over and yes, these same bastards conceded that they had been unfair with their criticism of me,when it finally dawned on them that it was impossible to win every case.
Fast forward to the PFA today and Gordon Taylor will probably be no different than me.
Hopefully this is the case with Tevez..

The little bastard almost derailed our season last year with his ill timed transfer request. We must not let this happen again.

In my opinion it is unlikely too. As it is not only our performances that are sky high. Team spirit seems excellent too. Lots of very happy guys and one miserable fuck.

Seems to me the other players couldn't give a shit about Carlos and his problems.

Union leaders nobs, Carlos nob.
I would get Kia, Carlos, Gordon and a decent bonfire and resolve the issue there and then.
