PFA Player's Player of the Year

Put it this way, in the 21 years of the premier league giving out manager of the year awars, the manager of the year has been given to the title winning manager 17 times. Of the only 4 times in which it wasn't given to the league winner, two of them just happened to be the years when we won the league.

Yeah but to be fair, other than the cup double, equal record goals scored, and exhilarating football, what exactly did Pellegrini do to deserve it?

And weren't the other two the eye-gouger when he won it during his first spell at the Kremlin?

Nope, both were GPC missing out I believe, once to Craig Burley when he did implausible well with an Ipswich side built around Richard Wright and Titus Bramble iirc, whereas Twitcher got it for getting top 4 with Spurs I think.

Aguero should have on there ahead of both Diego Costa and Coutinho.

If Aguero wins the Golden Boot, when was the last time the Golden Boot winner wasn't even nominated for Player of the Year?

Hazard and De Gea are both 24 and nominated for Young Player of the Year - what a farce.

Fair enough.

I stand corrected.

Coutinho and Costa should be replaced by Fabregas & Aguero, Hazard has it won easily.

I've only just seen the YPOTY nominees.. Hazard and De Gea at 24?!! Even Courtois is too old, played in a UCL and Europa final on the back of 3 full seasons at Atletico Madrid, hardly young any more.

... but if Costa wins the Golden Boot he'd have lost out to a lower scoring striker from the team in 3rd or 4th.

Tbh I don't think this one is too wrong, Coutinho should count himself very lucky though.
