So you don’t think there’s any way we can beat Southampton with a full strength team apart from Foden in for David Silva?
Of course we can beat them but Pep might want to get the 100 points in the bag before bringing on the likes of Foden and Diaz having got this close.

Really bizarre. Surely it makes more sense to have brought on Foden and let Nmecha come on the next game?
I'm expecting us to beat Southampton, and Foden and Brahim to appear, but why even risk it? I never thought we'd draw 0-0 at home against Huddersfield with 2 shots on target, but it's a possibility.

Massive shame if one of them misses out on a PL medal.

I'm actually liking that Pep is keeping him on ice and making him "earn the shirt". I'm sure he will get some minutes in the final game but Pep is showing him that he doesn't just get it for free.
This,he is keeping him hungry and humble,he has won the world cup and if he wins the league as well he might just let it go to his head, pep is looking after him just right,he is only 18

This season has just been a taste of what’s to come for Phil. Enough to whet his appetite and keep him hungry.
He seems a grounded lad and surely recognised the quality we have throughout the squad.
I’m sure next season we will see him introduced on a more regular basis - his quality will see to that. We’ve got ourselves a couple of proper players in him and Brahim.

Phil will get a lot of time in preseason to show Pep how much playing time he should get next season. Don't expect any of Silva, De Bruyne, Gundogan, or Fernandinho to play on the preseason tour.

Loan him where he will play regularly.

Playing once a month in the cup is not good enough to help the player progress.
