Isn't it what they should be doing as a matter off course?...bringing through local lads into the 1st team squad? We should be aiming now for more in the years ahead.

Not really,it's a way to make money mostly,we made nearly 80m last year from selling players from the academy,if we get kids for the first team it's a bonus,it's the aim but they have to be special,you can't force it

I know what you're saying Karen and you're quite right, I'd just like to see more than the sum total of 1 which the Academy has produced to date, hopefully there will be more to come in the years ahead...cheers

Funny this I've just read on BBC that 2 young English players have extended there contracts at spurs and Liverpool but nothing on Foden.

That and selling at profit. We wouldn’t have passed ffp in the last few years without the profit from the academy.
