Great news. On Sunday, In 5 minutes he did more than 3 Utd players did in the whole game.
Iheanacho certainly broke through far more than Foden has before we sold him. He was starting league games and must have scored about 20 goals for us.Awesome news. Made 10 appearances last season and has already made 10 this season. Believe he's the first lad to fully break through since Richards/Sturridge/Johnson?(unless you count Iheanacho) and hopefully shouldn't have to wait so long for the next one.
The idea that any player has fully broken into any club's first team before starting a single league game is completely ridiculous. If Foden left tomorrow, you'd seriously say, "Oh well, we successfully brought him through into the first team!"?
If this were a fan of any other club talking about their youth player you'd be laughing at that sentiment.
That was his problem, getting games. When Pep decided to take Foden and Diaz to America, and not him, that was it. He was goneHes had a few assists and a few minutes for England. Lets not get too carried away just yet, he could end up being the next Marcheda and be at Doncaster in a few years. Hes not in the same league as Sterling, Sane, Mahrez or Bernardo so he probably wasn't going to get many games for the next 3-4 years.
He wasn’t taken as he wouldn’t sign a new contract. Not vice versa. That was his problem, getting games. When Pep decided to take Foden and Diaz to America, and not him, that was it. He was gone
Have a look at thisHe wasn’t taken as he wouldn’t sign a new contract. Not vice versa.
Do you think he will ever be returned to the EDS?
