Phone lights during match

Weirdly football for me is all about tradition, the world is moving too fast for me to stay relevant in it and I suppose it's just me kicking back and hoping for the circus to stop. There are of course good things like the football we play isn't it marvellous, but sometimes I crave the uncertainty and the edge of the seat scenarios when we were a bit pants ;)
Tradition is relevant to your generation and can become a problem.

Everything in life has to move on at some point.

PS tradition is also very romantic, the reality is often things do improve and get better, it's just as you get older you don't like to admit it.

I agree with what your saying but again it a generation thing.

Just watched an interview with Noel Gallagher, he was talking about the Oasis Knebworth concert, he said watching footage of it and seeing 125,000 watching on and not a mobile in sight was incredible, in comparison to concerts of today. Why people pay a fortune for a ticket for a live event and then spent their time watching it through the screen of their mobile while filming is to me utterly bonkers and weird.
Yeah i was thinking about that when reading this thread. He’s spot on. Definitely a generational thing

My mate went to watch Level 42 (I think, it might have been Average White Band but I'm another FOC!) in concert and he said the whole band were actively encouraging the audience to film it and post it on social media. Obviously to increase their exposure. Sad actually.

Crazy and very sad, there are a lot of musicians that get very hissy when they are filmed during a live performance, I think one is Paul Weller, fair play to them, to try and play your heart out to a live audience busy on their mobiles is a total insult for me.

It looks good on TV, it's a weird choice for people to get bent out of shape over.

I swear there are people here who just want us to play on a bog of a pitch in heavy duty cotton jerseys coming out to that fucking awful "Ciiity, Manchester Ciiity" song with absolutely nothing else going on because they endured that torture when they were younger.
It wasn’t torture, it was in your blood and that song will last long than that sodding crap they play now.

A lot of clubs are starting to put these signs up:

A lot of singers are asking crowds to put their phones away during gigs n’all.

People are getting sick of this shit in clubs and gig venues:

I remember going to Nation in Liverpool and they used to confiscate cameras off people before smartphones existed.

Hopefully this smartphone-obsessed culture at football starts to get fucked off soon n’all.
