Phone Thread

I'm currently using a phone made by Doro . Its A flip front phone . Total bag of shit , No interweb or nowt .
All my mates say I'm a **** but I couldn't give a rat's knackers , as it was free and it does what I need it to.
Fucking RETRO tho and all the pensioners are after one !!

Had a Galaxy s7. Dropped it from height, 30m up. Smashed it beyond reasonable repair cost. Wasn't insured so sold it Mazuma for £110.

Went on eBay and after researching online and youtube reviews, settled for a Xiaomi rednote 3 for £155. Really good phone for the money and not too far behind an i-phone 6 in terms of performance and build quality.

The Huawei P9 is an excellent phone. Like Xiaomi, Huawei are going to be very big players in the mobile phone industry. Many of you will not of heard of these Chinese manufacturers, but Huawei kit is now handling over 60% of all UK mobile calls.

I've read so much positive stuff about Huawei and they sell them a lot here, it's definitely one I want to consider on my upgrade. @Manc in London was also saying how much he likes his.

I'd like to see some phones do some sort of projection or hologram they always spoke about. I do miss the days of just texting and calling, now my phone is practically a computer, TV and alarm clock rolled into one, the only thing it doesn't do is wipe my arse but there will be an app for that in 2020

I've had various Samsungs upto S5, a couple of Htc's upto M8 and currently iphone 6S. Theres not much difference between any modern top end phone imo unless you want it for something specific like facetime or the ability to change battery/install more memory.

The wife has just got the iphone SE and although smaller than most recent phones its a cracking little bit of kit for the price and definitely worth looking at if you can get a good deal, seems faster than my 6S if i'm being honest.

I saw someone using a phone to project a movie onto a wall around a month ago in China, my wife got the details but said that the phone is only available on Taobao at the moment (Chinese equivalent of eBay). I haven't seen a phone that could wipe my arse yet though....
