Depends if you refer to explicit points in the past or not. Example:
Mate A (on seeing a rather attractive girl in a club) "I would like to fornicate with her"
Didactic "I have done her before"
Mate A "Like fuck you have, she's waaaay outta your league you dreamer"
Mate B "She's a slag mate, you need to get yourself tested for bad cat aids or something"
Didactic "I did that on Friday"
Note the use of "did" when referring to the test you took on Friday versus the use of "done" when you were unsure of the specific date the potential contraction of bad cat aids took place.
