I'm showing my age now

I used to hear Ring,Spring or Ding on the way home from the mother in laws house when I was courting with the wife in 1979.I think it was on the Dave Ward(Curly Shirley to us oldies)Show late at night,somewhere between 11.00-12.00 p.m.

My 2 oldest girls used to love Timmy Mallett in the late 80,s.
Mallet's mallet and Mr.Mallet,Mr.Mallet.
Thinking back he might have been on the WAC at the time.
(Wide Awake Club for us parents of a certain age-along with Michaela Strachan and another guy).

Yes, in about 1982. I was 13 or so and thought he was great. He was on at about eight on weekday evenings and the show was called 'Timmy on the Tranny'. I don't like to admit this now! :)

I searched through a load of old audio tapes recently and found an "It's a Goal" from 1987 (Imre Varadi at Oldham). Might stick it up soon.

It's ages since I've listened to the radio, is it true that Key 103 still play those jingles as mentioned earlier?
