Went to the free trade hall to see an unknown band in the 70,s !! T. rex . Seen van Morrison a few times and weller,Walter trout was brill and sad cafe as well shed Severn .

Saw the Pogues play with Joe Strummer, Lynval Golding and Kirsty Macall which was just amazing.

Saw Simple minds play Waterfront at Maine Road which just blew me away. Also saw OMD and the Stranglers at the same gig.

The one thing i would have loved to see live is the Three Tenors sing Nessum Dorma

No doubt about it, The Clash. I've seen The Good, The Bad and The Queen with Paul Simonon, BAD with Mick Jones and Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros, there's no hope of ever seeing Topper unless I walk past him on one of rare journeys to London. But seeing as I'm 26 I've not had the chance to see The Clash, my dad went to see them in the early 80's and said they were brilliant.

Even though i love Brian Johnson, i would loved to have seen AC/DC with Bon Scott.

Saw them last week doing Quadrophenia - still awesome

Hawkwind, Steve Hillage, Bowie, Lou Reed, Genesis (70s), Cheeky Girls.

Not seen the Cheeky Girls; seen the others but Genesis was post Gabriel.

Why haven't SLADE ever reformed everybody else does at some point?
Never saw them sure they .

pretty much sell out smaller venues.

Some bands/groups will NEVER reform .... ABBA won't , to name but one ..... they feel that they could never seriously reproduce their performances of the 70' /early 80's , and so will never attempt to.

The Slade group members may well feel the same about themselves ....

Fair comment agree Daltreys voice has gone but to see the WHO do Quad one of the greatest albums ever made in my opinion was exceptional.
Next biggie for me Hoople at the Apollo in November if Hunter last that long he was 74 this month.
